==== Version 4.0 (beta) ====

Version 4.0 of the Open eClass platform is under development and is scheduled to be released in 2024. It includes extensive design and functionality changes.  The main ones are:

  * **User Interface** changes: Design changes to the //Front Page, User Portfolio, Course screens, Admin Tools//
  * Support for **widgets**
  * Connection to external open educational resources (**OER**) repositories
  * Upgrade of external libraries
  * Improve support of **accessibility standards** to AA 2.1 level
  * **Open Badges** support
  * Use the **Blade** template engine
  * Upgrade the **Bootstrap** framework to **5.x**
