==== Sticky Notes ==== The Sticky Notes component offers a flexible, digital bulletin board that allows the instructor and learners to place short notes on the course workspace, ensuring the immediate display of reminders or the presentation of quick ideas (brainstorming). To activate the tool, the instructor enters their online course, selects "Course Management" at the bottom of the left column, and navigates to the "Tools" option. There, they locate "Sticky Notes" in the relevant list and toggle the switch to "Active". Once the instructor selects the "Sticky Notes" tool from the course menu, they choose the "New discussion topic" link (the relevant plus symbol). The required field is the title, while the topic description can optionally be filled in, along with some additional settings regarding the ability of creators to edit/delete their notes, the number of notes displayed per page, whether the topic is active, and finally, whether categorization (Kanban) will be supported. If the categorization feature is activated, new fields appear in the form to fill in the available categories. Next, we select the “New note” link and type the note text in the provided box. Then, we choose the background color of the note, which helps with the visual categorization of information. The process is completed by clicking the "Submit" button, and the new digital note appears automatically posted on the board. Each published note can be modified at any time by clicking the pen or pencil icon, while the board rearrangement is achieved simply by moving the note to a new position using the drag and drop technique. In case a note is no longer necessary, the instructor can remove it permanently by clicking the "X" icon in its top corner. The Creation of a Kanban Category allows the instructor to introduce new categories into the Kanban board, which function as the vertical columns for organizing the course's digital notes. To insert a new category, the instructor initially selects the "New discussion topic" link. Subsequently, they click the button labeled "Add Category" in order to open the input form for the new column's details. Next, they must fill in the desired column name in the "Category Title" field and enter the necessary instructions or the purpose of this specific workflow phase in the "Description" field. They select a distinctive color for this specific column to facilitate visual archiving. The process is completed by selecting the "Save" button, which permanently saves the new Kanban category and automatically displays it as a new vertical column on the course's digital wall. After the permanent creation and appearance of the categories on the main screen, the instructor has the ability to move the digital notes (sticky notes) from one category to another using the drag and drop method, instantly changing their position on the board depending on the evolution of the educational process. At the same time, the instructor has full control over privacy settings and access rights. They can create private notes that are visible exclusively to themselves for personal teaching reminders, or public notes that are visible to all enrolled users. Additionally, they determine whether students will simply have read-only rights to the instructions or if they will be able to post their own notes on the shared board. For the proper functioning of the component, it is recommended to use different colors per thematic unit, maintain short and concise text due to the nature of the tool, as well as regularly clear the board at the end of each week to avoid visual clutter and keep the information up to date.
